Our Services

Every decision we make is shaped by a clear sense of purpose and evidence.

Unitea is a race-centred, intersectional consultancy informed by public health evidence and psychosocial research. We centre race because the evidence connecting racial discrimination to adverse health outcomes is the most extensive and well-documented in the field. We work intersectionally because race compounds with gender, sexuality, disability, class, faith and other dimensions of diversity, that produce the most complex and critical outcomes at those intersections. Thus, any serious examination of inequity has to account for that.

Our work covers three areas: diagnosing where structural inequity exists in organisations and measuring its impact on the people experiencing it; examining pay equity through intersectional analysis and the pay processes that produce gaps; and providing independent, objective advisory when organisations face acute situations involving race and discrimination. Across all three, the approach is structural, evidence-based, and grounded in the understanding that workplace discrimination is a public health issue with consequences that extend far beyond the workplace itself.

How We Work and Our Scope.

We take on a small number of engagements at any one time, which means every piece of work receives our full attention. Every engagement begins with a scoping conversation to ensure we are the right fit for each other.

For organisations earlier in their journey, a lighter-touch readiness assessment is available. This evaluates your current position, e.g., what data exists, what infrastructure is in place, and what would need to be established before a full diagnostic would be meaningful.
